The uniforms of choice in Southwest Soccer are Adidas 2018 and 2016 (as they can be worked together) with black shorts and black socks, we are not supporting the coloured socks for the Adidas 2018. The Adidas 2018 or 2016 uniforms are to be worn by Match Official teams for all district and regional league youth and senior competitions held within Southwest Soccer.

Why has Southwest Soccer made this decision?

Match Official fees paid by teams for competitive games have gone up considerably over the last several years, a Lead in our District can earn as much as $85 and Assistant Referees can earn $55. So, let’s start the game off right, look like a team, work like a team, it’s half the battle, first impressions are everything. A consistent team uniform is VERY important to the service you offer; you are the 3rd team on the field. We don’t allow teams to have different uniforms on why should the Match Officials?
