Southwest Soccer is excited to continue the Southwest Soccer Scholarship Award to be presented to two active Southwest Soccer members annually.
The two awards each consist of a $1,000 scholarship and will be awarded to the individuals that have best met the included criteria and provided the greatest contribution to the District and their Club’s programs.

Southwest Soccer awarded the 2019 Southwest Soccer Scholarship Award to two active Southwest Soccer members:
Julia Woodcock, a player of Guelph Soccer Club since 2005 and a club volunteer since 2015 in various roles such as youth coach, camp instructor, league convenor and ambassador. Throughout her high school years at Guelph Collegiate Vocational Institute, Julia, an honor roll student, played for the varsity soccer team and has been a recipient of various awards for her academic achievements. Julia has now been admitted to the Systems Design Engineering program at the University of Waterloo. We wish Julia all the best in her future endeavors.
Joe Lemieux, a player of Cambridge Youth Soccer Club since 2009 who has also played multiple sports such as volleyball, golf, hockey, badminton, frisbee, tennis etc. At CYSC, Joe has been coaching in the mini and tiny tots’ programs. At Preston High School, an honor roll student, Joe has been the captain of the soccer team, a member of the Student Activities and of the Athletic Councils. Joe is now enrolled at Western University and Ivey Business School in a dual degree program of Engineering. We wish Joe all the best in his future endeavors.
